The Irish O'Quebec show at the McCord Museum in Montreal will be on for a few more months. It is worth a visit and does include some items from St. Columban. They have also now posted a video on their McCord site that you might like to view at:

Just a reminder that the ?Being Irish O'Quebec? exhibition continues at the McCord Museum until April 4th 2010. This is a great exhibition and dedicated to the Irish in Quebec. It demonstrates the contribution that the Irish have made to our community; the close relationship between the Irish and the French speaking citizens; and the various communities like Griffintown and Point St. Charles where many of the Irish settlers first lived after arriving in the early 1800?s. It also has items from St. Columban in the exhibition... It notes, for example that the first Irish settler in Quebec was recorded in 1670 and was Tec Aubry, whose real name was likely Tadhg Cornelius O?Brennan. He married Jeanne Chartier, who was a ?Fille du Roi?.
