Ed's Note

My thanks to all those involved with this sight and my brother Don for all
his work on the Williams Line.
St. Columban has always been a big part of my life while growing up and now
when i am able to get back east and visit family. Our Family can be found
spending summers on the Bonny Brook, the place i learned to swim and know
the beauty of the area.
Direct line to George Williams (one of the broken stones found) are still
living in St. Columban and many others spending summers ands weekends, as i
did when living in the area.

My line simply,
1. George Williams
2. Michael Williams
3. Michael Williams
4. Albert George Williams
5. Denis Allen Williams
6. Edward Greorge Williams <-- me
7. Eric Anthony and Alexander George Williams <-- my boys

I look fwd to any new info,

Regards
Ed Williams

Hi Ed;

Thanks for your comments about the site. It really has been a team effort.

We have had Claude Bourguignon, the St. Columban historian, providing us
with a lot of stuff; Jeff Legault doing terrific work on our web site;
Kelley O'Rourke spending a lot of her time on researching the broken stones
and all the Irish buried in the Cemetery; Ken Neil handling a bunch of
research about the best materials and costs to build a monument; Anne
McLaughlin getting all the necessary permissions to do something in the
Cemetery and many more contributing histories and photos to the site. - All
descendants of the original settlers...

As well we have great support form the St. Patrick's Society of Montreal;
the great article in The Ottawa Citizen; interviews on CJAD and CBC Radio in
Montreal etc.etc.

So if this continues, we will have more and more information posted on the
site..and, sooner or later will raise enough funds to honour our ancestors
of St. Columban.
