Additions to our Event Page - Fergus_Keyes - 11-26-2006 Hi Everyone; I know that Jeff has notified many of you of the recent modifications to our event page which now includes the possibility of reserving for our Gala at the same time that you reserve your regular tickets. He will also add a note about the possibility of also reserving your copy of the DVD that we plan to produce of the event. And, Jeff has also added some French language flyers and order forms at the bottom of the opening page. So just to be sure that everyone is aware of these changes, I am adding this note here in our St. Columban Discussion Forum. Thanks & Take Care Fergus Just a quick update on the web site, I added an option to reserve for the Gala Event after-reception and some supporting text New Text http://www.stcolumban-irish.com/events/ PayPal Purchase option http://www.stcolumban-irish.com/events/tickets.html Reserve now but pay later form http://www.stcolumban-irish.com/events/reservetickets.html I will be adding another page or text and a form to stimulate and capture interest in the DVD project soon. I also noticed the St Patricks Society was kind enough to advertise the event here recently: http://www.stpatricksociety.com/new.htm If anyone has problems using the site to purchase or reserve tickets let me know right away and I'll come to the rescue. Also if you find any glaring typos for sure let me know ASAP ;-) Cheers! -- Jeff Legault Project Manager mailto:jlegault@epalscorp.com Event coming Soon! - Fergus_Keyes - 12-11-2006 Hi Everyone; With only about 6 weeks or so, to our ?Remembering St. Columban? event (January 27th 2007), now is the time to start really pushing for ticket reservations/sales. To make this event somewhat profitable for our restoration project, we really have to sell about 500 seats to this event. So far, just some of the actions that we have taken include:- ....Kelley has sent a notification to all the English speaking Catholic parishes (An example at: http://stthomasabecket.org/web/upload/bulletin/061210.pdf ) ....I gave a presentation to about 30 members of the Quebec Family History Society ....We had a brochure of the event and a notice included in the recent St. Patrick?s newsletter mailing (Thanks Ned) ....I have been posting our flyer in the local YMCA; Irish bars etc. in my neighbourhood of Point St. Charles ....I have also contacted The Montreal Gazette to include a story about our event (have not had a confirmation from them yet.) ....Jeff has posted a notice on a number of free Event notification Internet locations. ....We have included a notice in the recent Point St. Charles Community Theatre playbill. But we do need all your help ? to get these tickets sold. So if you have been holding off in actually sending in your reservations, please do it ASAP, so we can have some idea of the number of tickets that we have sold to our own group. And please do post our flyer (copies can be printed from our web page - ( http://www.stcolumban-irish.com/events/ ) anywhere that you think it might be of interest. If you need other information, please contact Kelley or myself. Thanks Fergus Re: Additions to our Event Page - Sean - 12-11-2006 sounds great! I'm looking forward to meeting you all. Re: Additions to our Event Page - Fergus_Keyes - 12-22-2006 Hi Everyone; There seems to be a little confusion between the start time for our event that appear on the tickets at 8 PM and on some printed posters as 7:00 or 7:30pm... In case anyone does ask you - the start time for the event will definitely be 8 P.M. as it appears on the printed ticket.. Let me also take this time to remind you that the event is only about a month away - so please get those ticket orders sent... And, of course, I would also like to wish all the descendants and friends of St. Columban a very Happy Holiday.... Take Care Fergus |
